“Life Under the Dark Sky”, a novel that tells a true story.
I‘ve been an avid reader all my life, but I’ve never thought I would write a book myself. I’m still in awe of my accomplishment.
The storyline is based on my mother-in-law’s experience during the Second World War. She lived through hell and came out stronger.
Once I had settled on the book’s subject, the flow of events guided me through its journey. And what a journey it had been! My mother-in-law was my first and most important critic. She read the chapters as I finished them one by one, and at times they brought tears to her eyes, or laughter, all along encouraging me to continue. This book is for her, as it is about her life lived on the edge during the long cold night of our contemporary history.
I hope that you, my readers, will find my novel – based on a true story – interesting, moving, and meaningful.
